Why use the Atlys Brazil visa status tracking tool?

  • Atlys works with the Brazilian visa authorities to provide 100% accurate, real-time updates.

  • The use of advanced technology ensures data protection and prevents unauthorised access.

  • It allows you to skip embassy visits and do Brazil visa application status checks from anywhere and anytime using your mobile phone or laptop.

How will I receive my Brazil visa once approved?

Once your Brazil visa is approved, you will typically receive it as a physical stamp or sticker placed on your passport. The Brazilian consulate or embassy affixes this stamp, which contains important information such as the visa type, validity period, and any conditions or restrictions.

After approval, depending on your mode of application, you'll need to either pick up your passport from the Brazil Mission or have it mailed back to you.

Here is a sample of the Brazil visa:

My Brazil e-visa status shows "rejected." What should I do?

If your Brazil visa application status shows "rejected," understand and address the reasons for rejection before reapplying. Some of the most common rejection reasons for a Brazil visa include:

  • Incomplete or inaccurate application: Missing or mismatching information on your application can often lead to rejection.

  • Invalid passport: Having a passport with insufficient validity from your arrival date in Brazil.

  • Incorrect photographs: Submitting photos that do not meet the visa photo requirements (must be clear, unedited, and recent) can cause issues.

  • Insufficient supporting documents: Missing proof of funds, return tickets, or accommodation where required.

Worried about another visa rejection? Apply with Atlys, and let our experts ensure that nothing stops you from getting a Brazil visa this time!

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions travellers actually ask. Still curious? Our visa experts answer every question on WhatsApp, email or call.
How long does it take to process a Brazil e-visa?

Brazil e-visa applications submitted through the VFS Global platform are typically processed within about 5 to 10 business days once verified and submitted to the consular post. Apply at least two weeks before your travel date for a safe buffer.

Who is eligible for the Brazil e-visa?

The Brazil e-visa is available to citizens of the United States, Canada, and Australia holding valid passports from those countries. Other nationalities must check whether they are visa-exempt or need a consular (sticker) visa.

What information do I need to check my Brazil visa status?

You need your application or reference number. Your passport number and date of birth may also be requested. The reference number is included in your application confirmation.

Can I check my Brazil visa status by passport number?

The Brazil VFS system uses your application or reference number as the primary identifier, and may also ask for your passport number and date of birth. The reference number is the key field.

Is the Atlys Brazil visa status checker free?

Yes. Checking your Brazil visa status with the Atlys tool is completely free, whether you applied through Atlys or the VFS Global website.

Can I track my visa if I applied on the VFS Global website?

Yes. The Atlys Brazil visa status tracking tool works for every applicant, including those who applied directly through VFS Global.

What does "In process" mean?

It means your application is still being reviewed. This is normal, especially in the first few days. No action is needed from you unless you receive a request for additional documents.

Why does my Brazil visa status show "Unknown"?

"Unknown" means the information you entered is invalid or does not match a record. Check your reference number and passport number for typos. If you applied within the last 24 to 48 hours, your application may not be in the system yet, so wait and try again.

Is the Brazil e-visa stamped on my passport?

No. The Brazil e-visa is delivered by email and is not stamped on your passport. You must print and carry the e-visa document with you when you travel.

Do I need to print my Brazil e-visa?

Yes. Once approved, print your Brazil e-visa PDF and carry it with you to present on arrival.

How often should I check my Brazil visa status?

Once a day is enough. The system updates at its own pace, so checking more frequently will not show new information sooner.

What should I do if my Brazil visa is rejected?

Identify and fix the reason before reapplying, common causes are incomplete or inaccurate details, an invalid passport, incorrect photos, or insufficient supporting documents. Applying through Atlys means our experts review your application to prevent these errors.

Is my information safe when I use the visa status checker?

Yes. The tool uses advanced technology to ensure data protection and prevent unauthorised access to your information.
